Back the work that gets built.
A small number of sponsors, aligned with the work.
Why this exists
Most design competitions stop at the idea.
This one doesn’t.
Three concepts are selected, developed, and built, then judged as finished work.
It’s a rare opportunity to support design that moves beyond presentation and into reality.
Why it’s worth backing
This is not passive sponsorship.
Your brand is aligned with:
Work that gets built
A design-driven, selective audience
A public event centered on finished work
This isn’t about sponsoring an event.
It’s about backing a standard.
Who’s in the room
The Tacoma Design Challenge brings together a focused group of people who care about how things are actually made:

How its run
The Tacoma Design Challenge is built to be transparent, fair, and focused on the work.
No entry fees for designers
Judging includes a panel of design professionals and select sponsor representatives
Submissions are evaluated against clear criteria and judged as finished work
Designers retain ownership of their work
Financials can be shared with sponsors upon request
Completed pieces may be auctioned, with proceeds directed toward a designated charitable cause.
Three ideas become three real objects.
Built, presented, and evaluated in their final form.
Sponsors are part of that process from concept to completion.
